Course Description – Update on Esthetic Restorative Dentistry
This presentation will delineate the techniques essential for
success with conventional and contemporary adhesive restorative
dentistry. An objective, comparative evaluation of many of the newer
products on the market will also be given, with an emphasis placed
on the clinical manipulation of these products. At the conclusion of
the seminar, the participant should be able to:
• Cite the basic concepts essential for providing high
quality esthetic restorative dentistry
• Select which materials to use in specific clinical situations
• Outline the critical manipulative steps required to
successfully use these modern materials
• Explain the appropriate use of newer procedures
Who should attend
The course material should prove beneficial to dentists and
hygienists. Credit Hours – 7 hours.
Presenter – Dr. Terry Donovan
Dr. Terry Donovan received his DDS from the University of
Alberta in 1967, and practiced full time in Regina, Saskatchewan
for 13 years. He received his Certificate in Advanced
Prosthodontics from the University of Southern California (USC)
in 1981. He is currently Executive Associate Dean for Academic
Affairs, Chairman, Section of Biomaterials Science, Chairman,
Department of Restorative Dentistry, and Co-Director of the
Advanced Education in Prosthodontics Program at USC. Dr. Donovan
has published extensively, and has lectured world wide on the
topics of restorative dentistry and materials science. He is
past Chairman of the American Dental Association’s former
Council on Dental Materials, Instruments, and Equipment.
