Presenter – Dr. W. H. Milligan, III
Dr. W. H. Milligan, III is a graduate of Washington and Jefferson
College, the University of Pittsburgh (PhD, Microbiology), and Southern
Illinois University, School of Dental Medicine (DMD). He has served on
thefaculty of Southern Illinois University and University of Pittsburgh
Schools of Dental Medicine. Dr. Milligan has also served as a consultant
to the American Dental Association and Interim Chair in the Departmentof
Diagnostic Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental
Medicine. He is an active member of the American Dental, AmericanDental
Education and Pennsylvania Dental Associations. Dr. Milligan hada full
time general dental practice for 25 years. He is also a member of the
American Society for Dental Ethics and serves on the long range planning
committee of this society. Presently Dr. Milligan is the Associate Dean
for Clinical Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental
Medicine where he teaches Risk Management, Practice Management,
Microbiology, Pathobiology and Ethics. He has presented continuing
education courses for the past 20 years for the University of
Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, the Pennsylvania Dental
Association and the American Dental Association.
